Spectacular! Radio Campaign
- The nationwide radio campaign for the CCP's third CD began on Feb. 28, 2008. The album debuted on the JazzWeek Radio Charts at #46 in the first week of airplay. On week two, it shot up to #11! THE HERMANITES: All-Star Big Band featuring Woody Herman Alumni led by Terry Gibbs. THE KENTONIANS: All-Star Big Band featuring Stan Kenton Alumni led by Mike Vax.Terry Gibbs will lead the Hermanites through a set of Herman classics including Apple Honey, Northwest Passage, Caldonia, Lemon Drop, Early Autumn, Not Really the Blues, More Moon, Keen and Peachy and lots more. Mike Vax will lead the Kentonians through a set of Kenton classics including Eager Beaver, Peanut Vendor, Southern Scandal, Intermission Riff, Collaboration, Interlude and lots more...then the two bands will come together for an explosive BATTLE OF THE BANDS FINALE.
